Review: The Vintage Cosmetic Company Blending Sponge

I love the Vintage Cosmetics Company brushes, so when I was this in TK Maxx for €5.99 I decided to buy it and give it a go.

I had very high hopes for this as it claims to be latex free and be infused with vitamin E. It also claims to be your "go to" product for creating a streak free base. To be honest I was really disappointed by this product. I dampened it as I do with all beauty blenders/sponges but it was extremely hard and had little to no give in it! It also doesn't distribute the product around the skin and it certainly doesn't help to blend it in any way! It is so hard that it ends up nearly hurting your face as you try to work with it. I ended up having to call it quits with this sponge and had to use something else to blend in my foundation.

I also found that even though I washed the sponge out well after using it, and washed it the same way I was my beauty blender and real techniques sponges, that a week later when I went to give it another chance, It was mouldy! I mean you could clearly see little spots of mould all over it!

Overall ladies don't waste your money on this. You would be better off buying one of the cheap ones from Pennies as it would probably do a better job and you could save yourselves a couple of euro.
