I love buying the MAC Viva Glam lipsticks as they full recommended retail price less vat, goes to helping women, men and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
Every year MAC choose a new spokesperson to represent the campaign and create their own Viva Glam shades. This year Ariana Grande is that spokesperson.
The shade of lipstick that Ariana Grande chose is a very deep purple/plum. The shade is very vampy and as it has a blue undertone it makes your teeth look very white. This is a matte formula that I don;t find too drying on the lips.
This shade can be applied either sheer for a muted wash of colour, just put a little bit in the center of your lips and blend it out well with your finger, or you can build it up for a more dramatic look.
I would recommend using a lip liner with this as it is a dark shade, and it does wear off and transfer. But it's not a liquid lipstick and that is tto be expected.
Overall I love the shade and the formula! I'm also very interested to see what else Ariana Grande and MAC release later in the year!
